Where is God in Your darkest Hour?

Have you ever asked yourself that question? You are not alone. The Bible records the following in Psalm 22:1 - "My God, my  God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from my deliverance and from my words of groaning?"

Apparently this person felt alone. He did not understand why God seemed to be far away, especially in his time of need. He needed God, He needed deliverance but nothing was happening. God had not shown up. God had done nothing to help him in his darkest hour. So the question returns to us; "Where was God?" / "Where is God in your darkest hour?"

The simply answer to these questions is that God is exactly where He always is - on His holy throne. Psalm 22:3 declares; "But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel." This truth has hit home recently in church life at Lake O' the Pines - anytime God is not on His throne, at any moment that God cannot come to the aid of His people, if there be any thing that God cannot do - He ceases to be God. No please don't misunderstand. There are certainly times when God seemingly doesn't come to the aid of His people, only to show a different perspective in His own timing. We may not understand this. We may even not like it. Yet, God's ways are perfect.

Where is God in your darkest hour? On His throne and for every believer - within us.

Praying today for:
(1) Lake O' the Pines = Victory
(2) State = New Hampshire
