My heart is still rejoicing in all that we have witnessed God do over these past weeks. He has drawn to Himself many for salvation. The church of LOPBC got to experience a part of His work Sunday morning as two made their profession of faith in Christ. Then Sunday night we encountered this verse from our study of Ecclesiastes: "God works so that people will be in awe of Him" (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
That is also what is encountered throughout all of Scripture. God is powerfully at work so that people will see Him and worship Him and bring Him all glory. Joseph was aware of this when Pharaoh came to him to interrupt his dream. Joseph's response was simply: "I am not able to . . . it is God who will give Pharaoh a favorable answer" (Genesis 41:16).
Again and again we see this truth revealed, it is not about us but all about God. Today, let us stand in awe of God and give Him the glory. It is important that we continue to decrease and that Jesus increase in our lives. Joseph understood and lived by this truth. Others from Scripture understood and lived by this truth. May we follow in their footsteps of knowing and living by this truth.
