Miracle . . . Lesson . . . Prayer

One of the greatest miracles captured in Scripture for us to read is the feeding of the 5,000 found in Matthew 13:14-21. In those seven verses we see the compassion that Jesus has for people who are hungry, tired, and worn. It may very well be that you find yourself like that today. I know that there are days I do. That is when Jesus steps in and brings all that we need. You see, for the people who were hungry - Jesus fed them, for the people who were tired - Jesus gave them rest, for the people who were worn - Jesus provided for their need.

Today, Jesus will do the same for you and me. He will meet our needs because that is the kind of Savior that He is. Jesus will come along side of us to encourag us. He will walk with us. When we come to Him through prayer, He is ready and waiting.

One more thing. It is amazing to me that this wonderful miracle is followed by Peter walking on the sea - only to find himself drowning, when he took his eyes off Jesus. The lesson for us - always keep our eyes on Jesus. The world will wear us out. The evil one will lie to us. Everything can seemingly fall apart. But Jesus is ready and waiting. His desire is for our focus to always be on Him.

Will you? Will you keep your focus on Jesus? Will you let Him provide for you?

Praying today for:
