Our God is our Refuge

Psalm 9:9-10
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, LORD.

Have you ever been oppressed? Have you ever been in trouble? Oh, how both of these descriptions could be used to describe us at various points in our lives. There are certainly those days when it seems like everything is crashing down around us. There are troubles that we encounter. Troubles in this life is like sin in this life: sometimes it is caused simply because we live in a fallen world, sometimes it occurs because of the actions of people around us, and sometimes it is the result of our own wrong choices.

The wonderful news is that we don't have to stay oppressed or in times of trouble; because we trust in a God who is our refuge and who has never abandoned those seek Him. He is greater. He is victorious. He is in control. Run to Him. Cling to Him. Always trust Him.
